All Students should be aware that the Department of Mathematical Sciences takes the NJIT Honor code very seriously and enforces it strictly.  This means there must not be any forms of plagiarism, i.e., copying of homework, class projects, or lab assignments, or any form of cheating in quizzes and exams.  Under the Honor Code, students are obligated to report any such activities to the Instructor.

¤     Homework & Quiz Policy:  There will be a short quiz Monday and Wednesdays first thing.  The Monday quiz will be on material from the previous Wednesday and Thursday.  The Wednesday quiz will be on the material from the previous Monday and Tuesday.  Homework from these days may occasionally be collected in place of the quiz.

¤     Attendance:  Attendance of all classes will be recorded and is mandatory. More than TWO absences in the course will result in withdrawing a student from the course. Please make sure you read and fully understand the Department’s Attendance Policy. This policy will be strictly enforced. Two late arrivals will count as one absence.

¤     Exams:  There will be two exams given in class on Monday, July 21 and Tuesday , August 5.  The final exam will be on Thursday, August 21:

The final exam will cover the entire course material.  Make sure you read and fully understand the department's Examination Policy.  This policy will be strictly enforced. Please note that calculators, cellular phones, beepers, and all other electronic devices may not be used during any exam. There will be NO MAKE-UP EXAMS.
 

¤     Further Assistance: For further questions, students should contact their instructor. All instructors have regular office hours during the week. These office hours are listed at the link above by clicking on the Instructor’s name. Teaching Assistants are also available in the Math Learning Center.
