¤     Grading Policy:  The final grade in this course will be determined as follows:

Your final letter grade will be based on the following tentative curve:

This curve may be adjusted slightly at the end of the semester.
NOTE: You must score a grade of C or better on the Final Exam in order to get a grade of C or better in the course.

 

¤     Homework Policy:  Homework must be handed in at the beginning of every class.  Late homework will not be accepted.

¤     Attendance:  Attendance of all classes will be recorded and is mandatory. More than TWO absences in the course will result in withdrawing a student from the course. Please make sure you read and fully understand the Department’s Attendance Policy. This policy will be strictly enforced. Two late arrivals will count as one absence.

¤     Exams:  Four quizzes will be given during the semester.  There are no make-up quizzes. There will be two exams given in class on Monday, July 21 and Monday , August 11.  The final exam will be on Thursday, August 21:

The final exam will cover the entire course material.  Make sure you read and fully understand the department's Examination Policy.  This policy will be strictly enforced. Please note that calculators, cellular phones, beepers, and all other electronic devices may not be used during any exam. There will be NO MAKE-UP EXAMS.
 

¤     Further Assistance: For further questions, students should contact their instructor. All instructors have regular office hours during the week. These office hours are listed at the link above by clicking on the Instructor’s name. Teaching Assistants are also available in the Math Learning Center.
