A Very Brief Overview of Electromagnetics and the
Analysis of a Quarter Wave Vertical Antenna

ABSTRACT

A very brief overview of Maxwell's equations will be presented with the aim of deriving their time harmonic versions.  These will be used to model and analyze a very important antenna which finds applications in communication technologies including cell phones and radio broadcast stations.  The mathematics used in this talk should be familiar to those students who have mastered Applied Math I-III.
