Interests:
Mathematical and
biophysical modeling of the electrical firing behavior of neurons.
Development of models based on electrophysiological data, analysis of models
providing quantitative support of experimental hypotheses and yielding
quantitative predictions of experimentally-testable behaviors. Compartmental
modeling of single neurons, modeling of small networks of neurons. Mathematical
analysis of neural models using singular perturbation techniques, bifurcation
theory and methods of nonlinear dynamics. Parameter optimization
of neural models.
