Admission Requirements
Students will be admitted to this track in the PhD programs of both universities (NJIT and UNCPBA); hence, they must satisfy the entrance requirements established by both institutions. These requirements can be summarized as follows:
- Students from the USA should have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or in some other mathematically oriented discipline, such as Physics, Engineering, or Chemistry. The PhD program at UNCPBA may require the student to pass a (Spanish) language exam.
- Students from Argentina should have the Diploma of 'Licenciado en Física', 'Licenciado en Matemática', or other physically oriented discipline, such as Engineering or Chemistry. TOEFL (550 or above, 213 computer based) and GRE will be required. The exact equivalency (bachelor or masters) of the Argentinian degree will be determined by the established procedures at NJIT.
- Interested candidates are encouraged to contact Prof. Javier Diez (jdiez@exa.unicen.edu.ar) or Prof. Lou Kondic (kondic@njit.edu) for more information.
