Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Applied Statistics (Biostatistics)

The New Jersey Institute of Technology has an opening (subject to funding availability) for a faculty position in applied statistics at the Assistant Professor level, to begin in Fall 2008.  Preference will be given to applicants in biostatistics, although applicants in related areas will also be considered.  Senior applicants should have strong research, funding, and teaching records.  Candidates should have a PhD and postdoctoral experience in Applied Statistics or related field and strong teaching and research potential.  The Department of Mathematical Sciences offers BS, MS, and PhD degrees, with tracks in the PhD program in Applied Mathematics and in Applied Probability & Statistics.  Many opportunities exist for collaboration with biostatisticians and clinical researchers at the nearby University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, the Public Health Research Institute, and the International Center for Public Health, all of which are within walking distance of NJIT.
