Prerequisites:  Math 222, Math 337, Math 340, and proficiency in a computer language (FORTRAN, MATLAB, C, or C++), or departmental approval.

Grading Policy:  The final grade in this course will be determined as follows:

Homework & Projects:

40%

Midterm Exam:

30%

Final Exam:

30%

Drop Date:  Please note that the University Drop Date March 26, 2013 deadline will be strictly enforced.

Homework Policy:  Homework assignments/projects will be given frequently; some will involve writing computer programs in a computer language such as C, FORTRAN, or Matlab. Each assignment must be handed in at the beginning of class. Late assignments are NOT accepted. As a standing assignment, you should always read the relevant sections of the textbook prior to lecture..

Examinations:  There will be a midterm examination and a final examination. The midterm examination will occur before the "drop'' deadline. The final examination date, time, and location will be determined by the university.
